Questions in your mind arise as to what you can safely take in your hand luggage and suitcase. Will they let you through customs with your device? Can you vape in the country you are going to? If you’re planning a trip abroad and are a vaper then this post is for you. There is nothing that can ruin your holiday more than having all your vape supplies confiscated on departure or arrival. Or, if you have managed to get through the airports and arrive at your hotel only to face a steep fine for vaping in public. E Cig Batteries Banned In Hold Luggage
Did you know that you can’t take spare ecig batteries in your hold luggage? Generally most airlines have now prohibited vapers from placing lithium ion batteries in their suitcases to go in the hold of the plane. You can take up to two batteries in your hand luggage that you carry on the plane. But that’s it! If you have a specialty vape device that requires larger lithium batteries that exceed 100 watt-hours for rechargeable – these are prohibited in both hold and carry on luggage.
You can take your vape device on a plane in your carry on luggage as long as the device is powered down. You can carry two batteries for your device as long as these are protected from short circuiting by using original packaging or safe battery kits.
E Liquid & Planes
Most airlines will allow you to take e liquid onto the plane in carry on hand luggage as long as it does not exceed the liquid measures the airline has set which is usually 100ml. There are no restrictions on carrying spare e liquid greater than a 100ml in your suitcase hold luggage. I usually have 2-3 120ml bottles stored in my suitcase when I travel. The last thing I want to do is run out of my favourite e juice when I’m abroad.

There are varying laws and restrictions on vaping including the import, retail and personal use of e cigarettes in different countries throughout the world. As a dedicated vaper it’s important to know in advance where you are travelling to and the regions specific laws regarding the use of e cigarettes. The worst places to travel if you are a vaper are:
Guvana, Qatar, Thailand, Dubai
The above countries have strict rules with hefty fines and even imprisonment for the use or sale of e cigarettes. Ironically in all these countries you can kill yourself and others through passive cigarette smoking 24 hours a day. No one will bat an eye if you chain smoke through 40 fags in a crowded area puffing the cancerous toxins contained in tobacco cigs in the faces of the locals.
