In this time we have seen lots of smokers switch to vaping and completely give up tobacco cigarettes. What has been interesting is understanding the reasons behind new customers deciding to switch to vaping.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Surprisingly the No1 factor for people switching, by far, is NOT health. It&#8217;s MONEY. Personally, I switched to vaping back in 2011 because of my health; smoking was killing me and affecting my health dramatically. Once I switched to vaping my health and whole life improved. So I naturally thought, like me, health would be the driving force behind most smokers to switch, but I was wrong. Most new vape shop customers just simply can\u2019t afford to smoke anymore; the average price of a pack of twenty cigarettes is around \u00a313.00. Six packs of cigarettes a week works out to be \u00a378.00 (\u00a3312.00 per month!). This cost is astronomical compared to the average of \u00a310\u2019s per week (\u00a340.00s per month) for vaping. Despite money being the No1 reason people switch to vaping, I would like to look at why e-cigarettes are a better health option than tobacco.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two Reasons E-Cigarettes Are Safer Than Tobacco Cigarettes<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\n<h4><b>NO TAR<\/b><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n<h4><b>NO CARBON MONOXIDE<\/b><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CIGARETTE TAR<\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" data-src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thevapeshop.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/bronchial-tubes.jpg?resize=300%2C225&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Why Are E-Cigarettes Safer Than Cigarettes\" class=\"wp-image-15386 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/225;\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COPD, Emphysema and other lung diseases, plus cancer, are all caused by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verywellmind.com\/tar-in-cigarettes-2824718\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cigarette tar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The tar is the substance contained within cigarettes that makes smoker\u2019s fingers yellow, we would call it nicotine stains, but it is, in fact, caused by the tar in cigarettes. Tar also contains lots of carcinogens and these carcinogenic particles cause cancer. We are inhaling cancer-causing particles with every inhale from a cigarette. The effect of tar entering the lungs causes the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/kidshealth.org\/en\/parents\/bronchial-tubes.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bronchial tubes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (small tubes) that absorb the precious air we need to close up, reducing oxygen intake into the blood. The other damaging aspect of tar is that it negatively impacts the cilia hairs in the lung that are needed to protect the lungs from dirt, foreign objects and infection.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">E-cigarettes contain <\/span><b>ZERO TAR,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which means that all the health hazards associated with smoking-related to tar do not occur with vaping (using an e-cigarette).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CIGARETTE CARBON MONOXIDE<\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"270\" data-src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thevapeshop.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/cigarette-strokes.jpg?resize=300%2C270&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Why Are E-Cigarettes Safer Than Cigarettes\" class=\"wp-image-15387 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/270;\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strokes, heart attacks, fatigue and breathlessness, are all caused by the intake of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verywellmind.com\/carbon-monoxide-in-cigarette-smoke-2824730\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carbon Monoxide<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> contained within tobacco cigarette smoke. With every inhale of a cigarette, we are forcing Carbon Monoxide (a poisonous gas) into our lungs. This poisonous gas replaces the oxygen in our blood, putting stress on the heart causing it to beat harder and faster.
